Why do I need a CASp Survey?  

• The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 requires public accomodations and commercial facilities to be accessible for those with disabilities, effective Jan 26, 1992.  There is no "grandfathering" provision, and new construction, additiona and modifications must meet the accessiblity provision fo the 2010 ADA standards. 

What can happen if my business is not compliant? 

• In California Court, a plaintiff can be awared $4000 per access barrier plus damages and attorney fees. 

How can Martin Brothers help my existing business?

• An inspection by a Martin Brothers CASp Certified inspector provides you with a plan and "qualified defendant" status, if you are adhering to the plan AND your report and schedule of imporovements is developed BEFORE a construction-related claim is filed against you.  REF: DSA website:dgs.ca.gov
